So I just got back from Maui. Trying to get back to normal life. Like loads and loads of laundry. I went with some of my friends and neighbors in the ward. Five girls with nothing to do but shop and tan. It was a lot of fun we enjoyed every minute. We did a lot of the sit seeing and snorkeling. I was the driver and that is really fun with four back seat drivers and three that get way bad car sick. It's fun to go with girls because we are all into the good food. We found this place that has the most amazing Macadamia pancakes and coconut syrup. The diet was off I had to have them. We enjoyed a snorkeling cruise and one of our friends saw two sharks just after I came in the boat. It's nice to have a break after the summer. I missed my family and wished my husband was there when we walked the beach at night. But it's nice to take a little bit of mom time. So if you have a chance to go with some friends just go it was a blast.

Back To School

I'm sad to see summer leave. I love having my kids home and have them to my self with no comments to stay home. We have had a great summer. Yes some days I'm ready to send them but really I like to hang out with them. Maddison is in fourth grade I'm in shock, she is my crutch at home I need her. She is getting way to big to fast. Another sad thing is my little bridgie is in first grade. He has to be at school all day. I think it's harder for me when they go to first then kindergarten because of the all day thing. He is way excited and he got up way to early and was ready in a flash. Yesterday he woke up and said "is today Monday" to Nick he said no it's tomorrow. "dang, dad can you make it Monday". Kolby will go to preschool after labor day. So it will be me and Kate for a couple of hours. Fun and sad all at the same time.

I Made it to the Half Marathon

Well here I am alive. On Saturday I did my first ever half marathon. I have done a lot of 5k, 10k and some 10 mile races. But this is the first for me. So here is how it went. I had to be in Provo at 4:45 to get on to the buses. I thought I would be OK to be a little late so I was about 10 minutes late the lines were so crazy I barely got on the last bus. There was a couple thousand people there. We rode up the Provo Canyon and waited for the race to start. It stared late of course it was suppose to start at 6:30 but at 7:00 it started. It was nice and cool at the beginning but it was hard to get going with all the people. I was in a slow jog for about 2 miles. But then it was evening out. It was so pretty seeing Bridal Vail falls and the green mountains. We came out at about mile nine. That's were it got tricky for me. It was already blasting hot and I started to slow down. But my goal was to finish and to get under two hours. Well I made it just under two hours by two minutes exactly. Well now I can mark that down on my list of things to do. So good luck to those who are training for the 1/2 Marathons next week (Jackie, Nickie & Jami).

Chicy kinda days

It's been one of those chic kind of summers. First Mama Mia came out and I was so excited to see it. I love those Corney musical type shows. I went to the midnight showing with Jackie and some friends. I loved it we laughed, we cried it was the best. Perfect amount of cheesiness for me. Then the big ta do the book came out you know the one I'm talking about the one you see people sitting in front of their house reading, walking down the grocery isle reading it, watching there kids at soccer practice reading it. Well the last book of the Twilight series is going to have to wait for me because I get so involved I loose track what I'm supposed to do like enjoy my kids for the last two weeks of summer. But after the first day of school watch out I will not see the sun tell I finish. And yesterday another show I have wanted to see is The Sisterhood of The Travailing Pants 2. It was so good yes another cheesy movie but I get into the Chicky flicks. It was good but if you haven't read the books you wouldn't enjoy it as much. I love reading a book and having it turn into a movie. I like to see it on the screen. I hope for some more Chicky films so I can go enjoy my moments alone and not have to think.

Season is over

Maddie & her friends, Bridger in light purple go Lehi, Maddie in the middle

Maddison and Bridger's swim team is over. They did an amazing job. They had to go every morning at eight to nine for practice and have meets on Saturday. You don't have to go to everything. That's what makes it so nice. they were really good little swimmers. I can't believe that they know how to do some of the strokes. I mean really who knows how to do the butterfly. They had there county meet and they both did great they would win in there heat. Maddie took like 6Th place over 42 kids in that swim so good job. Bridger's age group was fun to watch they were so cute and little it was the 5 and 6 year old. They were good little swimmers Bridger took a couple of firsts and seconds. way to go guys for your first year in swim team.

"O" TO BE NINE

Our Maddie just turned nine. She is the best thing that happened to Nick and I. We love here so much she is such a help around here. And she is really funny we just love hanging out with her. She is way to busy for a kid but some kids just love to be. She wants to do everything and she not afraid to try. She is good at everything she try's from soccer, softball to swimming. She has to much talent for one kid she amazes us everyday. We just can't get enough of her. It's hard to believe she is going into 4Th grade Nick and I remember 4Th grade like it was yesterday. For her birthday we went out to dinner with her grandparents. She chose to go to Texas Roadhouse. We told them to sing for her and her aunt Jackie asked if they would have this boy make her feel embarrassed. She is at the age when boys are cute but still way disgusting I love it. They sang so load and got so crazy it was so funny. The waiters said that was probably the loudest birthday yet. She was a good sport sitting on the saddle getting made fun of. So Happy Birthday MADDIE
